Dryad Nursery

Unfortunately, we will not be able to post to the EU or Northern Ireland this summer.

So many things have happened over the last few years but as we are hopefully approaching a return to normality it is time for me to take stock.

As time becomes more precious, I have decided to free myself up to concentrate on two key areas, my first love, miniature Narcissus and my Dryad breeding programme snowdrop ranges: Dryad Golds, Myths & Legends, a new 'Snow Range' and another development (of which more exciting announcements later, but as a three word clue: 'Ipoc', 'Yellow' and 'Range'). Both these latter two ranges are undergoing my normal rigorous selection & naming process to ensure they are unique, stunning and worthy to be named.

I have much enjoyed working in the snowdrop world and have developed strong friendships with so many of my customers over the years. Therefore, and as this will be my last offerings of many of our non-Dryad varieties, I wanted to thank all my customers with a 'Bumper List', keenly priced to allow my remaining stock to be widely available. Hopefully there will be something there for everybody as a thank you for all your support.

I will be conducting Ebay listings of resting bulbs, including some of the Dryad Golds, Dryad Myths & Legends, some of the Estonian series and other rare cultivars shortly.

Next year in the winter I will be offering my Dryad specials in the green as usual.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to post to the EU or Northern Ireland this summer.

Customers in the USA may order narcissus but not snowdrops. As it now costs £30 for each Phytosanitary certificate, on top of the soil sampling costs and fees for the inspectors’ visits, American customers may combine orders with a friend to one address, but the parcel can only be insured for £250 maximum.

If you want to follow me as a seller, and be informed when the bulbs are listed, use this link and click on 'FOLLOW"

Dryad Nursery is a small mail-order-only nursery run by me, Anne Wright, based in Tockwith, North Yorkshire. I grow and breed miniature narcissi, snowdrops, and hepaticas.

The nursery was set up originally simply as a way of disposing of excess bulbs from my hobby, and still has this function, but I also now propagate the plants especially for the list. Everything is on a small scale though – it has to fit into my back-garden!

Gardens Illustrated Magazine ran an article on our miniature daffodils this spring you can see some of it here:  https://www.gardensillustrated.com/plants/spring/narcissi-miniature-how-to-plant/

I hope to put out 2 plant lists annually -  daffodils, anemones, dormant snowdrops and other bulbs such as crocus in July;  and hepaticas in autumn or spring. There may also be seeds available once or twice a year. I will send an email a few days before a list goes out to alert customers that it is imminent. Postal lists will be sent out to hopefully arrive at the same time as the email lists.

The number of each item available at any one time is always going to be small. If you like something in the list – you need to order quickly, by email or phone if possible, to ensure the best chance of getting your choices.

ALL of the plants in my list are home-propagated by myself or Brian Duncan. None are bought in from commercial growers.
